Important Health Benefit Information 
Members are encouraged to enrol and access PBC’s member portal for specific details of their coverage, including their usage, or download the PBC app. You can also access detailed health benefit information for Abbotsford School District by visiting the My Plan page.
 
Important reminders:
  • The premiums for extended health benefit (EHB) plans will be changing, effective July 1, 2024 (see attached advice).
  • If you have moderate to severe sleep apnea, you are eligible for coverage for a replacement device (see attached memo).
 
In addition, the following benefit improvements were agreed to in the last round of provincial bargaining:
 
Effective January 1, 2023
  • Psychologist
           Now includes registered counsellors and social workers, to a combined total of $1200 per year.
  • Dexcom continuous glucose monitors
           Covered
  • Chiropractors, massage therapists, physiotherapists, and acupuncturists
           Increased to $1000 per year

Effective July 1, 2023
  • Dual Dental
           Restriction removed in SD 36 and SD 57
  • HPV vaccine
           Covered
  • Naturopath limit
            Increased to $1000 per year

Effective July 1, 2024
  • Shingles vaccines
           Covered 
  • Vision care limit
            Increased to $650 per 24 months
  • Counselling services limit
           Increased to $1500 per year
