ARTICLE D.23 Preparation Time
Were you asked to cover someone else's class today?
ADTA members have expressed repeated concerns about their loss of preparation time in the last year. In hope of correcting this situation, we need to collect data in order to assess the enormity of the problem and find resolution for you. By submitting the information requested below, you will help us to do just that.
Please select the description below that best applies to your current position.
TTOC
If you were assigned to a teacher today that had a prep in their schedule and you were directed to cover another teacher's class during that prep you are entitled to compensation.

Enrolling Teacher
If you were directed to give up your prep to cover another teacher's class you are entitled to reclaim your prep.

Non-Enrolling Teacher
There are 2 instances of concern for non-enrolling teachers.
1. You are entitled to a prep similar to enrolling teachers.
When directed to cover another teacher's classroom on your prep you are entitled to reclaim your prep.

2. If you have been directed to cover another teacher's classroom outside of your prep the District non-enrolling ratios may have been violated. The ADTA will be seeking compensation.

3. If you are a non-enrolling teacher, you were absent, and no one replaced you, please click here.
Student Teacher/EA/Parent
If you have a student teacher, an EA, a parent or some other uncertified teacher covering for a class that was shorted a TTOC please click here and enter the "Uncertified Teacher" (as the first and last name on the form)
Administrator Covering Class
If your Administrator covered your class due to a TTOC shortage for 1 or more blocks, please click here.
Student Re-Distribution Due to TTOC Shortage
Due to a TTOC shortage, students from a class were re-distributed to other classes causing a violation of class size. Please contact the ADTA.
