North American Occupational Safety and Health WeekATU Poster Contest(May 1-5, 2023)

Picture
Design a poster that clearly demonstrates the theme: “Work Safely Together”
 
This is a group-based contest. A final display that shows the efforts of the whole group will be considered for the prize.
 
There are 2 Ways to Win!!!!

  1. The group/class with the best entry in each district group will receive a group/class pizza party.
Groups Include: Secondary, Middle, Intermediate, Primary, Teamsters, CORE, Teamsters, ITC Staff, District Staff, Other)

  1. The site that has the most participants as a percentage of the total number of possible participants at their site will receive an all-staff pizza party. 
 
Criteria for a Successful Entry:
  • Images on poster depict people being safe – do not use examples that show people doing things that are unsafe.
  • Images and text should be positive and promote safety (no weapons, blood, violence)
  • Can be digital or on paper. If created digitally, poster should be printed and displayed.
  • Can be on 8.5x 11 up to mural size.
  • Can be black and white or colour.
  • Can use pictures of people working safely together (with permission)
  • Can use any medium or style or mixed media - paint, crayon, pencil crayon or markers, or other things like cut out letters etc.
  • Students may work in teams, partners or by themselves.
 
How to Enter:
Every group submits their entry to the ATU website by Monday, May 8th. The submission requires an upload of pictures of your group’s display.  The Joint Health and Safety Committee (JOHSC) will pick the winning group entry that best represents the theme. The JOHSC will submit the group entry that best represents.

Submit by Thursday, May 11.
 
Each entry will be catalogued by our website.  The JOHSC will need to send us the winners from each of the categories (Primary, Intermediate, Middle, Secondary, Teamsters, Other). A Staff Prize will be awarded to highest percentage of participants at a site.
 
 
The ATU will select a winning entry from each category on Friday, May 12 and the winners will be notified by email on Monday, May 15 to arrange their pizza parties.
